Looking for this particular Apache...
 

Time for a new boat, kids have grown up a couple years and now I can start getting back into the ocean....I am looking for the current owner of the 28 Apache single engine previously owned by member HESSDK whom I have already spoken with. I am told it is currently in PA. I may be interested in acquiring it if possible or at least letting the owner know I am interested when he's ready. Any help?

Are you sure you're not talking about a different boat? Like this twin?

David's 28 was a sweet one off, great combo, I have a line on a few nice 36's if you can go bigger.

Yes that was Ikes I believe. There was no pic when I wrote my post. Not many 28's around and even fewer in PA so I took a stab at it.

Its owned by a local guy here in Richmond VA. Its a 28, relatively new with a 525EFI.

I don't think he is interested in selling it, but you never know.

I heard that Mel Riggs has a 28 Apache that has never seen water and has never been rigged. Somebody else here should be able to get you in contact with him.

Doing good Gerard, I'm also looking for a clean 28 Powerplay single engine to check out. Not many of either of these boats exist , let me know if you can find one. I hear only 2 Apache 28 singles and maybe 5 or less Powerplay 28 singles were ever made...

I wonder if Mel's boat was setup for twins or single....I am specifically looking for single. I'll track down his number and ask. Thought I saw it around on this board somewhere.

I believe Mels boat is not rigged or setup in anyway. I spoke to him about the boat 2 years ago and I believe he has 2 motors for the boat.

I'll keep my eyes open fot it if I come across what you're looking for.

i saw it on the deleware river....philly area.....in october. i took a pic of it. it's on my other pc, so i'll post tomorrow.

that was the first time i saw it in this area.

I took this pic October 7th. I saw it again later that month.

mels boat is twin and is rigged........nothing sits at riggs marine.........ready to go. motors are not in boat but give em a few hours. motors are not a problem up there. you should see the power in tracys electric toothbrush..........m.m...
