Would it really take an additional 300 hp per side to push the 36 to 100 vs. the 35?

YES

The 36 is heavier, punches a bigger hole through the air and does NOT have a pad bottom like the new 35.

It still shows up on Lake Cumberland Marine's website. One of only two I know of that were built with #6 drives.
you would not catch me in that boat at 100+

I'm not so sure I'd want to go 100mph in a Baja.

GEE I THOUGHT THE QUESTON WAS [IF THERE WAS ANY 36S GOING A 100] NOT HEARING FROM THE PEANUT GALLERY BEAK BOATERS, I WOULDN'T GO A 100 IN A BAJA !! I wouldn't want to ride in a beak that spins in turns, GETS TAPED TOGETHER AND PUSHED OVER A START FINISH LINE AND CALLED A WORLD CHAMP AND I TAKE BACK MY REMARK THAT I LIKED THE NEW 35 STAGGER AT THE BOAT SHOW SO THERE KISS MY AZZZZZZZZZZZZ BUT i liked the rides I had in the OL's TRUE CUSTOM BOATS, AND WATCH OUT THERE WILL SOME BAJAs passing beakers this summer you can take that to the bank and one other thing I like the paint on the new 700 35 baja ol thats hitting over 104 with no steps!!!, no swim platform!!! a true 35!!! all right time for my zoloft[just kidding I had a real bad day at the docs.
