Lake Travis, Texas
I am in the process of relocating back to Texas and will be doing most of my boating on Lake Travis. I am looking at storage options and wanted to get some input from people with local knowledge. I am still evaluating what type of storage is available and what will fit our needs. Ideally, I would like a wet slip with lift for the summer months and dry storage in the winter. Dry stacked storage also may be an option if there is a facility on the lake that can handle a 38' boat. Any help on marinas or storage facilities that can accommodate boat and trailer would be appreciated.

The boat has lived in South Florida all of its life, and has seen its fair share of offshore boating. She is looking forward to a little lake boating. However, she will continue to see plenty of poker runs, and spend the winters in South Florida.

Lakeway Marina and Hurst Harbor Marina are good. There is also a nice one at Carlos and Charlie’s but cant remember the name. Clay is probably a good resource.

Lake Travis Marinas
There are several good marinas on Lake Travis. No one will dry stack anything longer than 29 feet.
I keep my 31 foot Bullet at West Beach Marina. I pay $325 for a 10 x 28 covered slip with non-potable water (for washing the boat) and shore power included.
Emerald Point Marina is the marina near Carlos'N Charlie's.
Others include VIP Marina, Lakeway Marina, Yacht Harbor Marina, Hurst Harbor Marina (Johnny Fins Floatin' Bar and Grill), and Lake Travis Marina. There are a few more good ones, but I'm tired of typing!
More Marina and lake information can be found in the "Links" section of the Lake Travis Powerboat Assn website.
If you can overlook that this is a "Sailor" website, here is a Map of Lake Travis!
Welcome back!
