Hunster's right. I've not had any Alpha reliability issues either. I'd say go for the 5.0 Alpha and save weight and $$$. Plus the Alpha is more hydrodynamic, so it'll be faster than the bravo w/same hp.
I'm really wondering if the negative crap on Alphas was just to sell more expensive Bravos...which then have their own reliability issues...right on thru to Arneson's and #6 drives...

I was going to mention Superboat also like Air Time did already and also say that some of the best deals oin the OSO classifieds are the smaller Powerquests. Bang for buck and built right. Good luck.
