Does the ITS have builtin hdry steering?? didn't see any rams out side.
|
The ITS drives do have hydraulic steering very similar to the setup on the #6 drives.

I agree.
What are the major differences, if any, of a somewhat new Pantera and this really old Pantera? Any difference in materials/fiberglass layup? I know the interior is different. What about performance? Lighter/Heavier? My problem is this - If I buy the boat I am sure that I will really enjoy it for about 5 years. After five years I would probobly need to drop in some new engines because the ones he has are rebuilt. New pair of 6.2 mercs rigged say $15,000. 25+15=40 and you still have a 1981 that you may get $30 for. Or I just sell the boat and upgrade to a newer one after five years of use. So why not go ahead and buy a newer one now for $50-65. If in the long run you know you will end up spending the same amount of money - wouldn't it be better to just have a newer one now. Not trying to disrepect the owner of the boat, this is my opinion on most older boats. That being said I posted this with the hope that someone would try and explain why this analysis may be wrong. Back to the original subject, it looks like a damn good deal. |
Tough to convert a twin to a single. That huge center stringer in right in the way. They are built from day one to be either single or twin setups.
This boat must have originally had TRSs (with 454s) which were filled and Bravos mounted. Looks like that was done well but who knows. Wonder what the interior and cabin look like. |
maybe the owner will post some more pics...the hardware on the transom has got to be close on the asking price... what are those ITS'S worth?
what state is that ?? wisconsin? |
According to something I read here a while back a 24' Pantera has about 400lbs more glass back then. So a 28 probably does too.

what state is that ?? wisconsin? Good price for a pair of ITS setups is 12-13k. Add a good price on a pair of XRs 12k. you got 25k. you got the boat for free. = pretty good deal to me |
We need to get the owner or someone who knows the boat on here, this thing is a steal, if I didnt have all my $$$ tied up in the 24, and my land up north, and paying the insurance bill on my house in FL, I would be on a plane to see it tomorrow.
