I have rented a house on the water with a dock in the channel just before the New Seabury Marina. Funny thing is the house I rented is next door to the cape house I grew up in. My old house, and the rented house have both been torn down, and rebuilt since I've last been there. We sold our house on the water (and had a difficult time doing it) back in the 80's for 175K. I wish we could go back in time on that decision.

Tell me about it, we had house on Old Silver beach, you could throw a rock to the water. My grandparents used to go down every summer and rent the house in the 50's and 60's, decided to buy it in 1969 for $16,000. Because of unfortunate and stupid family squabbles it was sold in 92 for 350,000, That same house was just for sale last summer for 1.2 mil. coulda shoulda woulda.

Not sure if you're towing it yourself. I know a1autotransport.com ships boats across country, but I haven't used them in a few years. When I did, it was a couple thousand dollars if I remember correctly so you'll likely save a ton if you're doing the hauling yourself. I guess whatever you're paying the driver plus gas costs and if you need to rent a trailer.
