I guess its really depends on what ya like and what he is really looking for.He needs to look and drive them first.If he buys a new Hustler and plans on power make the cut the strakes out of it.Between 100-105 just the rear ones ,above the 105 prob both.
I drove a 01 38 Cig that my buddy just bought, It suprised and impressed me.I just dont like the cabins in them.It did feel a little smaller than my Hustler ,also a little heavier feeling.But i still got 84mph out of it.
Maybe a Fountain bottom ,cig ride on a Hustler hull?

I don't think you want to compare them to the OLs and Cigs, to me you are comparing apples and oranges.
Personal opinion, but I still think they are one of the nicest looking boats sitting on the water.
