These people wouldn't know what they were looking at if it slapped them in the face!! Last year there was a picture of Summa Humma (47 Fountain for those who don't know the boat) in the local news paper off plane and the caption said "Speed boat RACING across Winnipesaukee"

Not much we can do besides fighting it harder than last time .. Send those emails and letters to the reps.. If you know the lake you know this is nothing more than feel good legislation

I sent this representative a length essay on why he shouldn't have speed limits on the lake(s). Spent about 3 hours on it and am very well educated in english. Figure its the least I can do.
And yes, I was very nice and respectable about it..... had to be or else I would of lost the audience.

The first bill HB290 was heard yesterday, both sides asked the Transportation committee to recommend killing this bill. not really good news since it means the other side wants to focus on HB847, a state wide 45 day/25 mph night speed limit which if convicted will go against your driving record.
The next hearing (HB847) is 10:00am, Friday March 16th in Representative's Hall, Concord, NH.
This is could be make or break - it may go to the house for a full vote by the end of this month.
(second hand info, I did not make last hearing)
