I have a friend with a house at the 4MM (not too far from your house!) so this will be just a hop, skip, and a jump for us to attend! What a way to wrap up the season!

This will be another great event for the lake. Hopefully it will turn into an annual thing.

We can just idle out and back to this event.

Dave, I assume you will run in this? The turbine?

Yeah, I agree. Should see a really big turnout for this one. Great weather, great location and a National Championship event! Everyone at the lake always talks about having a race. Now, thanks primarily to Merlyn @ The Horny Toad, it's coming to fruition. I understand special thanks also need to be mentioned for the lake area's Fire & Rescue personnel, the Missouri State Water Patrol and Alvin Heathman for his coordination efforts. Hopefully, this race will be supported to the max.

Wouldn't miss it for anything. Will run the piston boat as we always do in sanctioned events. But, who knows, might float the turbine out for a couple of "fly-bys".

There are some condos right near the dam that would be convenient for this event. You may want to look up Chevyzq8 and send him a PM, he owns a condo in one of those complexes. He would know more about where to go to rent them. There are tons of resorts around there that would have places for rent.

If you go to this site for PMG (Property Management Group) and look around you will get a feel for what is available. JUst depends on where you want to stay. The Horny Toad is at the 7MM, that is where the race is. Most of the listings show what MM the accomodations are at.

I'm 0 for 2 this year. I work weekend of the shootout and the weekend of this race.
Wonder if anyone would notice if I did not make it in?
