Permatex, same product but little cheaper.
They both used to be the same company. Walt |
I find a little dab of the same hair gel that DCB Dave uses will accomplish the same thing. :D :D :D

Loc-tite works just fine. Stick to the blue stuff.
Just FYI there is a huge difference between the red and blue loc tite. When blue loctite is used on a fastener the fastener may be "broken free" with hand tools. You will not be able to break free by hand any fasteners that have the red loctite applied to them. These require heat treatment to break to the fastener free.... |
never had a problem getting stuff off with red loctite and hand tools...

Each Loctite product has it's own special use. Blue is medium strength, red is high strength, purple is for small screws, green is super-aggresive, etc. There are also wicking (penetrating), sealing and high-temperature versions. Check their web site for directions, and remember that cleanliness matters.
If you want to "be sure", break out the drill bits and lockwire.... |
My newest bottle of loctite rolled under the tire of my truck and I forgot it. Sure shoots a long ways:D
|
fingernail polish if you dont have loctite :D

Think it's loc tite in a different bottle. Motorcycle shops seem to use this brand. I got hooked on the green when building my jet ski engines. What Kawisaki recomends ( probably just cuz it's green). |

Hard to beat Loctite. I have been a distributor for many years and they are the LEXUS in the industry. There are a few other companies but they are not cheap enough in price to switch, and none offer the full line that Loctite does. We tried the "MRO" brand which was a good product, but you could offer a 50ML bottle for $18.00 and the same in Loctite was $22.00 and my customer would pay the extra for Loctite every time. Send me a PM or email me with what you need and I can sell it to you right. [email protected] |
If it realy cant fall out , safety wire it.

bubblegum. :D

Yeah it's not really a price thing, I am just looking for something better.
