Blown motors due to bad gas in keys!!!!
Just got back from my trip to Costa Rica. Called my engine guy to find out if he figured out why both engines lost power and oil pressure while on the Miami boat show poker run. I have come to find out both motors are blown due to running a mixture of Cam 2 and DIESEL FUEL. Apperently some of the fuel I got down in the keys was contaminated with Diesel. I got gas at both the Tiki bar (60 gal per side) and Sunshine key (30 gal per side) and topped off with cam 2 110 octane I brought in my truck. We pulled the fuel seperators and sure enough there was a good percentage of Diesel in the fuel. NO!! I did not use the wrong pump or nozzle!!! I am extremely carful of that. One of the 2 places has a serious problem. Now I have a very serious problem. Has anyone else had a problem with fueling up at either place?

Same F'N thing happened to me but in my truck...BRAND NEW TRUCK!!! In '97 I bought a brand new Dodge sport 4x4,loaded right up...drove from the dealership to home and got my stuff to head to this job I was doing on long island(350 miles)...got there and filled my truck that now had 400 miles on it...went one block and it quit!!! I limped it to the hotel I was staying at and worked there a week and was going nuts trying to figure it out...just getting ready for bed and 10 min. before the news comes on I hear(just as I'm getting ready to shut the tv off)"find out if u are driving with tainted gas on tonights news"...there were 5 gas stations on long island that were mistakingly filled with diesel and I hit one
I call the guy (who can't speak english)and he says"I'll give u a refund on the gas " ...ARE U KIDDING ME??? I ended up draining the oil(the diesel doesnt burn and it filled the crankcase so bed it was coming out the dipstick) ,changing the plugs and it was still never right...sold it and took the loss,those motors will have to come out,good luck

have you sent some one to get samples from the pumps may be two late and diesel may already been flushed from them but worth having them just in case

my god Gino, that is terrible. I just e-mailed Rudy (It's All Good - 38 Fountain) to have it checked out.

Gino, sorry about your luck. Maybe with the new boat you'll do better.
I'll be in Costa Rica in two weeks (Wed. - Sat.) with my cousins, PM me some info on your casino and who to talk to there. We'll be one night in the Marriott, one night away at our ranch, and then Fri night at the Hampton. This would be the best night to unwind and have some fun!
