KE Article in Poker Run Mag - Engine??
Anyone check out the article Poker Runs mag did recently on Keith Eickert? REally a nice article. Did you check out the pic of the engine under development in his shop? Looks like a twin turbo with a Vortec on the front? Rumors are flying!:D

KE is always at the front of the pack . Great article

Any validity to the rumors? the motor pictured looks more like a mock-up motor than a development motor. might just be two seperate projects using the same block but who knows...would love to see something outrageous from KE. |
Those engines are not rumor. They are in the OL cat and my friend Joey Padovano has them in his 44 MTI. 1700 hp each.

Those motors are twin turbo AND supercharged???? |
Vortech centrifugal supercharger.
|
That's what I thought but didn't have any pics to reference. His pic in the article has a turbo and a supercharger on the same block...maybe to drum up some controversy/free publicity! :drink:

Probably just a mock as someone else suggested. Maybe to help have some common plumbing between the two setups?:D |
Front motor is a Vortech. There was a motor on the other side that was a twin turbo. It just looked like one motor.

Eickert is also a genius at going in and out of business,is he currently in business? and who are his partners now,I for one have been fukked over by his former partner Miss Sullivan.
|
You sound like a wealth of knowledge. Just a minor correction though, she was not his partner she had purchased the company from him.

One thing can be said for KE....his track record spans 30+ years and no one individual in this sport has been to the winners circle like he has. This goes for racing and product development. :D

Pfaff is on the edge of development, and has been consistant, not in and out of biz......if you invest in an aftermarket motor, you want the biz to be there if something goes to S H I T. Will KE be there next year? |

Except for that unfortunate interlude, Keith Eickert has been in business over 30 years. And he would not be the first man to get conned by a beautiful woman.

PF is definetly a great engine builder. However, I would bet KE has him beat 10/1 with National/World Championships. When they had the Class 1 engines KE developed/sold electronic Kinsler type FI systems, oil systems, valve covers, bell housing coolers, exhaust systems etc. Last two years they had open class Drambuie made the switch from Sterling to KE and reversed their loosing streak vs Alcone till Alcone left for UIM. Even today, check out his serpentine belt drive, look at the builders using his water pumps, fuel logs, oil pans etc. PF is excellent but not on the same page as KE:D
