What's everyone's thoughts on this...
 

Mounting trim tabs closer and in line with the bottom of the boat like the picture below versus mounting them in typical fashion - further out on the hull and at an angle. What are the real world results of the manner below?

Do a search in the tech section. There was a discussion about this around a month ago. It included input from a manufacturer too.

It seems that moving them closer to the center of the hull would reduce the leverage of the tab on the hull requiring more tab to to make the hull run straight. More tab in the water would equal more drag. Just a theory.

Put them underneath and make a hydrofoil out of that b*tch!!!
