Dean, build some margin of error into those puppies... Nick duct tapes the sticks down to the wood and don't pull back even when he's in the air. He likes to bump off the rev limiters for 30 minutes at a clip.....

dreamer 03-22-2007 05:33 PM

If you've been working on the heads since 1-12-2006 , you are never gonna make the ny poker run this year

The famous Gellner Engineering head work. The results are amazing. Looking good, Dean!

hunster 03-29-2007 09:28 AM

Nice work! Anyone ever use extrude hone to do their heads? I used to use them for my 2 strokes with fab results and just wondered if it was worth it on marine motors , manifilds , intakes?

I've seen that done on a lot of the Jap cars.

hunster 03-29-2007 02:46 PM

I used to have my cylinders done after opening up the ports and doing whatever mods to the port timing , then would send them the cyl , intake , exh , and jet pump. Was awesome the way it came back. All the inside surfaces that you could never smooth and polish by hand were as smooth as a gravy sandwich.

KNOT-RIGHT 03-29-2007 03:04 PM

Great Work.
Keep the pictures comming!
You shall see How good the heads flow when ya mash the sticks forward!

J-Bonz 03-29-2007 08:23 PM

Dean,
Give me a call if you if you have time before you get them up and running on the dyno, I would love to check out your set up.
Jr.

Hey Sak... I know of a 510 Cu. In. motor that made 760 hp a couple days ago and a 502 that made 866 hp....they both have steel heads too..... :evilb:

Get rid of those baby blowers and put 8-71's or a whipple on it! :drink:

Later, I'm outta here gotta go see a man from LI. ;)

No room for roots superchargers. Whipple would be nice just more money, and no drives to support 800+ horsepower
