donzi 27 zr or baja 26 outlaw
which one would you guys advice for a new boater
thanks |
The new 27 Donzi is sweet....my .02 go with the Donzi.
Donzi, no question about it. If you want a deal on one with a 496, send me a pm.
Donzi, no question!
What's the price difference?
almost none
As one of a select "few" Baja enthusiasts here on OSO, I think their new 26 is a great boat. I had a chance to walk-thru one at the LA show and found it well built, ergonomically comfortable, and with the proper power installed, I suspect it will move you along quite briskly. It's definately worth a detailed look!

donzi.
It's a tough call...everyone will tell u Donzi,I agree except for the fact that any Baja for sale is gone in a week...they have a great resale value...I know this,I've had two...like I said,tough call...there's my .02
Donzi!! :)
Donzi
:drink: .
. . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . Donzi |
I would probably go Donzi but what where the Donzi models they were having problems with high speed spin-outs?
See my other reply, but...I have owned 3 Baja's (and a Cigarette) and loved them all. I have never owned or driven a Donzi so I can't comment on them. A bunch of repsonses here say Donzi! But no one says why. What is better about a Donzi (other than the name), I don't know. Look at and test drive both boats and decide for yourself. Don't go by what a bunch of other people say (that MAY NOT have any experience with either boat).:evilb:
really does anyone know if it was the 27 zr donzi that has high speed spin outs
the boat that spun out the most was a race boat called Damn Donzi, not sure what size it was.....
check out DONZI.NET for more info on Donzi's.

Your talking about a 28 back in the 1998... "Damm Donzi" I think things have progressed along seince then.

Damn Donzi was not a 27 Zr. & Donzi's spinning out?? Something is being misunderstood here..
I am Donzi all the way.. :) But Baja builds a good boat that works for many people too.. :) Jamie |
Even though you are a first time boater, I would still go look at each boat closely yourself and if possible take along a non-biased, experienced boater to help you evaluate which boat is right for you. Part of the equation will also be the selling dealership for each brand. Service after the sale is paramount in the boating world. i don't see buying either boat as being a mistake. Good luck with whichever boat you buy!

The 27ZX that spun out was a 1998 and that was the old step bottom boat, The new 27ZRs are built on a completely different platform, They are made the same way the bigger ZRs are made, Low in design the 27ZR is a fast boat she will run 72-74mph with a 496/HO there is a big difference both boats you are looking at are good boats, both have different needs. The 26 Baja is a Deep V runs solid and tops about 66MPH big cabin, and high freeboard. The 27 ZR is made of a Kevalar lay-up lower cabin, long and sleek with twin steps. the difference in price can vary depending what your needs are. On the 27ZR I can't tell you how resale will be because no one has one for sale but if its anything like the 35 and 38 ZR they have a very good resale, I know the 25 Outlaw has a real good resale so I believe the 26 Outlaw will be the same.

While Baja did a nice job with what I seen at the Chicago show on the 26, the Donzi 27 there was clearly better in attention to detail from the sharpness of the strakes to gel work and neatness in the engine compartment.
Donzi would be my choice easily if price was anywhere close. Bonus is, you won't see many duplicates of what your motoring. |
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeesh.. Cow turd smell in a bunch of threads.
Sorry I replied |

I think the fit-n-finish of the donzi is a bit better. Little stuff you will notice. Everybody has a baja, get the donzi and be one of the few with one. Faster too. I dont like the high back head rests though.
