Dyno, intercoms/headsets

Dyno, check out this website. They have my intercom for 114.95. Look up the headsets to find their selection starting at 99.95. The headsets are probably available elsewhere for around 85.00 though. www.fly-bluesky.com/intercoms.htm
P.S. www.pacific-coast-avionics.com has $85 headsets and the same intercom for $115.

I have avionics intercom and the headphone mics pick up a lot of wind noise when in the boat at speed. Great at less 10 mph. Had to go to a 'throat mic' haven't tried it yet.

you need a complete system for a BOAT! not a plane! i have done a LOT of work with a few companies...so if ya want the 411, email me and or call me at work!

Audacity, you are entitled to your own opinion. And that's what it is. Your opinion.

Marty, please let me know how the throat mic. works. I too am looking at intercoms but worry about wind noise.

Thanks,

well i have worked with 3 companies now....flightcom, sigtronics, DC....all of which have gone WAY out of the way to help me rig a system in a pleasure (not the race boat) boat w/o a winsheild....currently i have no leet than 9 headsets at the house w/different configurations...we are looking into doing some testing w/seal com stuff for our inflatable...but the speeds are only 60 ish....so,,,yes an opinion, but the companies are useing my testing and feedback to make changes...so think it's just a little more than a opinion???

Thanks Dave looks great!!!Audacity I think the comms are fine maybe your info for the headsets would work better in a boat!but what the heck if these comms work in open helicopters they should work fine in a boat...

audacity 02-11-2002 10:46 AM

no freqs are different...if u would REALLY like to know the details i can give u contacts at the companies directly?

ps...i thought the same EXACT thing!

Looney Tune 02-11-2002 11:30 AM

Audacity did you ever try a aviation set up? I talked to the guys at soft comm and they told me they set up the DNR air boats in southern Fla. and they work great!
