Question for Quebec members.....

Is there any boating attractions near Bromont? Bromont is north of Montreal. Wife has a horse show there the last week on July. She wants me to come, but I can't hang around the show grounds doing nothing for three or four days.

So I thought, I'd bring the boat up and maybe run some lakes or rivers near by.

Anything worth towing the boat up for?

They are into the Horse thing in Bromont. Went to a dog show there awhile back, sure there is boating, but was not paying attention.

Stayed here think they had a big enough lake nearby: http://www.chateaubromont.com/eng/attraction.html

Thanx for the link, I think thats the nicest place to stay around there. I have sent them an e mail asking about boating in the area.

Bromont is actually east of Montreal.

Head south for an hour from Bromont and you can dip in Lake Champlain then you'll wish that horse show lasted weeks.

EAST of Montreal?? I better look at a map, I thought it was west.

That would be "easier" Christian... :drink:

Crossing on the water is a pain in the arse... better put in in the US nicer ramps not much to see boating on the Canadian part of the Lake anyway and you'll save gas.

hey 25 what is the english translation to your board name?

bluellama 04-02-2007 10:24 AM

Think clean thoughts......

Direct translation would be something close to "outside the law", more commonly known as Outlaw. :D

One thing about Canada is old money established vacation spots do tend to have very nice Chateau resorts. Trying to remember the name of the equestrian sports complex the dog show was at....

Christian's "Hors La Loi" means "Outlaw" in English referring to the Baja he owned when he joined here. Us frogs do stuff like that... :D

Bromont is ...30 minutes from the Lake Memphremagog. Nice lake, clear water, but YOU NEED TO HAVE SILENT CHOICE!!! And run silent as long you are on the lake. Not a big big lake thought. If you run 45-50 mph, you'll cross the lake from canada to US vermont in 45-50 minutes if I recall right.

Nice places to stay there also!

Canada Jeff 04-04-2007 06:13 AM

O.K. thanx. Don't need to get in any trouble.
