Removing Carpet adhesive

I'm tearing out the carpet in the cabin of my boat, could I use this to make it easier to get the carpet up?? Could I just pour something on the carpet and let it soak through to the backing??
I have not tried it because I figured if it was strong enough to get the carpet adhesive to let go then it would probably mess up the fiberglass underneath the carpet.

Thanks for the replys guys Ill give it a try W/ whats local and go from there. I think its the original carpet so the glue is as old as the boat. what else on a boat could last 23 yrs. and still work so good?

d-Limonene also know as citrus terpenes will remove and soften adhesives quickly. You can also apply it to onto carpeting to remove the adhesive underneath. We have a product as per HiPerf200's post Orange Solv which is 93% d-Limone. Professional grade. The most active ingredients found in a water soluable product. Will not harm fiberglass but try to keep it off of gelcoat for extended periods of time. You can see it on www.CleanItSupply.com. Use the search function for Orange Solv. Its very user friendly.

Hope this helps.
