kooleraire??

has anyone ever tried one of these things. in sits inside a cooler and blows the cold air from the ice in the cooler into a room. i was wondering if it would work in my cabin.

kennyo 04-04-2007 03:23 PM

I'd rather have cold beer!!

yesrej 04-04-2007 03:37 PM

beer is under it. multi purpose.

Can you please post a link..... Great idea if it really works. I imagine it works like those coolers you see sometimes at the bar - they put a lot of tubing inside a cooler - probobly about fifty yards. The beer goes in warm and comes out cold.

I bet if you had a small cooler with dry ice it would last all weekend without having to refill with ice.

Sounds like a good cheap business idea.......

I wonder if it can be done on a larger scale like for a house. Probobly have a problem with the amount of air you can get to circulate. This concept is used in geothermal heating/cooling were they run lots of piping underground near your house. The air circulates through the pipes and uses the natural coolness of the ground and then goes back into your house. Not really feasible for TX heat but it is done in other areas. The initial cost is very high but the amount you save on energy pays for itself in 10 years (so the website says).

88formula223 04-04-2007 05:42 PM

you would think as simple as that koolerair is it would have to work somewhat

Shore Thing 04-04-2007 05:51 PM

I've heard they work, just make sure you keep the ice inside the bags. Otherwise you're gonna wake up a bit damp in the morning.

wigginout 04-06-2007 10:57 AM

For 39 bucks, had to give it a try. Will let you know if it works just as soon as it gets above 50 degrees again. Dang it's cold.
