Post I need a boat towed from Ohio (Lake Erie) to Lake Murray. Who should I use?

I bought a new sportfishing boat and may not have time to pick it up myself. The boat is at Monroeville marine in Monroeville, OH (14 miles south of Lake Erie). The boat will be on a trailer and ready to go in a couple of weeks. Any suggestions on who to use that is insured and reputable?

Also, a few questions for those in the know:

1. What should I ask for as proof of insurance?
2. What is the going rate for towing boats these days?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I bought a Scout 222 loaded up for enjoyment . Some fishing too of course Now I gotta start picking electronics

I was leaning towards the Donzi's until I went and looked. Also, Pier 57 and the Donzi dealer in NC were absolute CRAP to deal with. They would not return calls or emails and one salesman was supposed to get a few questions answered by the Donzi rep and never called me back. After looking at sportfishing boats Scout was GREAT in terms of fit and finish and much more suited for fishing and enjoyment. I also had to have at least an 8.5' beam.

thanks for calling. I will talk to you next week
I Will talk to you then. I am trying to work out my schedule so I can go get it but it's not looking too good. I really want to do a test run on Lake Erie It will be a week or so before they get the trailer in for the boat.

Went with gill to drop off my old boat and pick up my new one. Was worth the money just in Gill's stories...

Congrats Michael. My buddys son worked worked for a Scout dealer here on the Island. They are awesome boats. What model did you get ? If your going up north for a sea trial best bring your long johns, its been freakin cold up this way.
We booked a lake cottage in Prosperity from June 7th-18th and looks like I'll be towing down the Bullet. I've got a ton of stuff to do & hopefully this weather will break.
