any body done any engine mod's to a 29 scarab with twin 350's and what did you do and how much speed did you gain

There was a guy on here who had one with prochargers on it. I would go to the scarab section and do a search.

Do you have bravos? I think the 2000 came with them. Do you have external steering and k planes? The boat gets real loose around 70-75. Save your money , have fun with it and move on when you are ready..

Boat needs to be heavier in the back to stabilize at high speed I think.

I am the one with the procharged 29 scrarab. Procharging that boat is the only way to go. They fit nice in the hatch. That boat is a pain to work on though... There is just no room to get into it. 5 PSI procharger setup will get you to 80 with a safe setup.

Friend did one with pro chargers. Said it got a little wild on him around 90. Guess because of the beam.
