25mph barely dented it. But it did f*ck up that trailer.

Sea-Dated 04-18-2007 09:02 PM

Now they are running a small boat with the trailer still attached.

I want to know what kind of boat their test boat was. It didn't get much damage at 50mph either.

yes 38 Fountain SC They have to realzie that the sled thy were using is alot heavier than that of a fountain, and i'm sure there were other conditions that played into this (like maybe turning)

I remember when you put up the thread looking for that. Now it makes sense. :D

On a side note, I thought I recalled that a friend of member "boot" bought that Fountain sport cruiser and fixed it....or bought it already fixed.

I liked it when they dropped from about a 100 feet, then fell on the crane :D

There is a pretty significant difference in the physics of doing the test on land as opposed to doing it in the water. When in water the boat is not going to want to push away from the piling because of the water force on the opposite side of the hull.

I always thought the boat in the original pic was a Hustler?

It looks like a Fountain logo on the side in front of the rear seat

It was a Fountain, and the pic is all too real.

There was an add online for this too. They said the boat would be destroyed in the add.
