A Prayer For Gary
figured i would share with my fellow o.s.o 'ers . recently a very close and great friend of mine Gary Guido suffered a pretty severe heart attack. many of you may know him, as he is a world champ. I do. i was shocked to hear it . he has went for a triple bypass, and is now awaiting a final procedure. he's gaining strength. and a little love and support i'm sure would give him some momentum.

I've know Gary since I was 10. He was close friends with my dad. You may rememeber the Fabio boat he use to race called Extinguisher. When he was younger he was one of the craziest guys around. He had a 24' Superboat called Psycho. He had the reputation of having brain damage the way he drove that boat! I always looked up to him when I was a kid. He is one of the people that I directly blame for helping addict me to Performance boating! My thoughts and prayers are with him. He was always a very strong guy, Im sure he will make a full comeback.

I hope Gary gets better soon.
Before I was born, my father did some boating with Gary in Sheaps Head Bay. Years later (98' or so) Gary took his boat down to NJ for the weekend and stayed at the marina I worked at. We got to know each other and when he asked my name he did a double take and we put two and two together. It was pretty cool that after all those years he remembered us!
Back in Sheaps Head Bay they were always racing each other and they even called my father Frankie Fino.
Gary, get well soon!!
