Could this be done for marine use?

The Bio Rocket is fitted with a PPE supercharged GM Duramax diesel engine that runs on B-100 biodiesel, which reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 78 percent compared with a standard V8 gasoline engine. Boeckmann estimates fuel mileage at around 24 mpg.

Switching the Bio Rocket to alternative fuel did not compromise its performance and speed. In fact, horsepower increased from 350 to 800, with a monstrous 1400 lb-ft of torque. All that oomph propels the Bio Rocket from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds."

Isnt that what the whole duramax marine convervion discussion was about last year or whenever.
And biodiesel actually has ZERO "net" CO2 release. (CO2 released = amount absorbed by crops used to make amount fuel burned)

Look for the 6 liter audi Diesel before you see this.

The same that killed the comp in LeMans last year?

Saw a TV show on Spike the other day. They were talking to Gale Banks about his twin turbo D-max. When asked what he is working on now, he said a faster truck..to do all things, speed record flat out, maybe the drag record, and parts store runner. Then he said getting the twin turbo into marine applications as well. I know there is an MTI some 800+ D-max but not sure if it has run yet...Still waiting to hear...

Whats the weight on this thing? Can't be much more than a merc 850.
It would be so nice to run that kinda power and snub OPEC at the same time.

if not that exact one, then based on that one yes. The lemans one is 5.5l, the one going into their Q7 suv is 6 liter. Both V12. Both capable of probably 850 hp, 850 tq if not more. And the lemans is run on bio-diesel as well.
