XS Performance Marine??

Is this company still around? I was researching hydraulic steering and came across some old threads about this company. I guess the member names were Maxx and Alfster. They havent posted in a number of years and was wondering what the deal is with their steering systems. I'm looking for a cheap add-on hydraulic ram. So far best price i've seen is $1295. Anyone know of any cheaper? I keep losing auctions on ebay for used rams. Last one went for $10 more than my bid price.

I've been talking to Brian Alfrey about the internal kit for my boat, but he is pretty hard to get a hold of. I'm not sure if he's making mine or not right now! I've tried to call him over the last week with no response.

Brian's cell # 513-407-0215 I have his system on my 34' w/twins and love it... top notch !:evilb: :drink:

How do his prices compare to the more mainstream brands like imco, mayfair, zeiger, etc?

Like i said, i know VERY little about XS performance marine.

The price is right. It is the best price I found. The downside is that he seems to be pretty busy and you may have to wait to get something done.

Just tell Pat to order it for you and get it done.:D :D

Pat gets a good deal on that stuff, but i've already spent way more on the boat this year than i had budgeted, (wasn't expecting to have to build a new engine) so now i'm trying to do as little as possible to get by this year. Thats why i'm hoping to get something cheap.

By the way, last i talked to him we're planning on a test run tomorrow afternoon.

Great stuff, I just installed my XS system this past few weeks. Very high quality, very low price. Full system from helm to rams for a singe bravo set me back $2800. Now you do have to wait several weeks to get all the parts, and he's hard to get a hold of. Forget emails- the phone number above works best.

Pictures of my install are here:

i just left a message with brian.

Anyone have any idea how much a single ram external kit costs from him?
