We towed one but still managed to have a great time. When we got done we were the only boat left on the lake and it was rough. That was the best part, ripping across there at dusk getting air on every third wave.

Thats no lie. Tat was actualy comfortable compared to what it gets to on a regular basis. I was there, just wasn't running with the bulls this year. Maybe next year. I'm sorry for those who came here to have a good time and wound up getting robbed. Since the Hurricane we have gotten some people that have moved up this way that think they should still be given things and if not they will take them. For next year if (I'll make a note). If you guys plan on attending the run next year. Let me know. I can get with the local sheriff and police and get details set up to keep the hotel lots safe for the boats and trucks. I can also check owners of private lots if they will offer to help. It isn't that big of a deal to get it done (I'll be happy to do it). We might have to pay for it but that can be arranged and worked out.

I'm not a regular to the forum but my dad lives in Kenner and I build boat trailers so I made the trip for "business". We were out in his 256 Chaparral and I took over 200 pictures at variouis stages and locations. Other than a lot of crap in the water from Frday's rain, the weather was perfect. Tons of sunshine and too little sunscreen. Here are a few of the pictures I took. If anyone sees their boat and wants the full image, let me know. I'll also dig through the other 200 if you give me a description.
