Prop Selection Help for SSMII /25' boat/454 stock

I need help with getting my 25 foot Eliminator offshore to get out of the hole and to get maximum cruise. Right now I'm using a 25.5 Pitch Cleaver prop and it takes me 5 minutes to get the boat up on a plane. I supposedly have a SSMII (custom) outdrive. I appreciate any help. Thanks Kevin
