need Help On Small Boat Capital Of The World?

I have a friend in Deale (spelling?). We want to come there in the spring from Western NY. Can anyone give us some help on this? How about a ride while we are in the area?

Waterfoul 01-09-2002 11:21 PM

Audiofn 01-09-2002 11:26 PM

Waterfoul 01-09-2002 11:38 PM

And with nearly 100,000 more registered boats than the next closest state, Michigan is the BOATING (small, medium, large, and yacht!) of the WORLD!!!!

Audiofn 01-09-2002 11:41 PM

mattyboy 01-10-2002 08:20 AM

there is a Deal NJ, by the shore but not on the water?

Dave M 01-10-2002 08:25 AM

There is a Deal, Maryland. It is on the Chesapeake Bay. Small boat capital of the world? Maybe if you're into crabbing.

Strike 01-10-2002 11:48 AM

Yup, it is in Maryland not too far from Baltimore I think.

I always thought Michigan was the boating capital. With the most boats registered.

I think we also have the most snowmobiles registered too ! Gotta love Michigan !

Dave M 01-10-2002 12:13 PM

Hey Strike,

Deale is about .5 hour from Baltimore. It is close to Annapolis which is great for boating, restruants, bars, etc.

i am pretty sure they are talking about annapolis. annapolis and deale are right next to one another. Inspectec Ted is probably the one to ask about this.

turbo2256 01-10-2002 06:29 PM

Michigan may have the most registered boats in the country its a fact. But after living in Florida for years they have more boats, most sitting in back yards and such unused unregestered.

cigarette1 01-10-2002 07:15 PM

Well since we are having a pissing contest .... SoCal is the Offshore capital of the world  :D

Ted G 01-10-2002 07:50 PM

Strike, Now that we have determined you're talking about Deale, MD :D I would be happy to help you out. What do you need to know and what are your plans when you come??
And BTW although I hate to admit it, Annapolis is known as the Sailing Capital of the U.S. Gawd, how I hate sailboaters   That,of course, disregards the fact that there are 40% more powerboats registered in MD than blowbotes ;)

Let me know what I can help with and check at www.cbpba.com to see what we have going on in the area. Too bad you aren't going to be here in early September...... ;)
