Thanks so much everyone!!

I was heading to The Landing to meet up with Rich, James, Shawn, and everyone in Mary Sue's Firebird. As I was cresting a slight hill with a curve, the only thing I remember was something forcing me to correct. I can't remember if someone was too close to me, or if the rear end got loose on gravel, or what. I corrected and ended up heading head-on into a pickup, and had to correct again. This one did me in, and I spun around backwards and hit the ditch at some type of angle, and the car went into the woods backwards and upside down. Some big post or pole creased the driver's door all the way into the seat. I ended up upside down suspended by the seat belt. When I released the seat belt since I could not breath, I fell into the glass which used to be the T-tops and rear window.

I was very lucky. Someone helped me open the passenger door, and I crawled out and WALKED across the street and leaned up against a fence waiting for the ambulance. They took me to a local hospital and I was later med-vaced to a full trauma center.

Aside from the spleen and a small gash on my face, I fared very lucky. They fixed my spleen w/o having to remove it. But a damaged spleen does horrible things to your body. I thought the diaphragm spasms were going to kill me the first night.

Again, MANY MANY thanks for all of the well wishes.

Glad you are okay Brian.

Take care buddy.

A couple pics:

The SEATBELT SAVED MY LIFE. It probably damaged my spleen too, but at the very least I am still alive.
