I brought my hatch cover in to get redone, new foam, and vinyl, exact duplicate of mine, and they quoted me 1200??? That seems really high, it is not attached to the hatch, it just lays on it. I never had to get this type of work done, and I dont feel like gettting raped this week. Thoughts?

Foam is a killer these days. And, with all of those pieces, there is a considerable amount time in the job. I would say 700.

I concure, foam has gone way up. If you didn't want all those seams in it it should be whole lot cheaper too. 1200 does seem to be a little too high. All those little seams look like a pain in the a$$ though. Maybe the guy bid it so high because he didn't really want to do the job.:eureka:

I should note, he said with new foam 1200, if I did not want new foam, about 750. So a piece of foam 6x6 is 450 bucks? I need to find another shop.
