Default Who builds Blowers other than Blower shop for a fair price.

Sticker shock involved with last phone call to the Blower Shop.
They will not offer good used parts for there rebuilds, only new.
These dudes must have a ton of GOOD USED PARTS that I could use. RE: shafts/splines/coupler.
Any help would be great.
I am in the midwest for now. shipping is anouther issue, UPS sucks.
I have to much money to see them destroyed by UPS.
B & M 174 blowers.

Not sure about the B&M's but Don Hampton does the 71 series blowers....

I think I paid somwhere around $1500 3 years ago... That included all new seals, bearings and one new snout.

I called Holley who now owns B & M and asked for these parts including teflon trips, they stated no parts are for sale, just complete Blower assemblies. Holley told me go to the Blower shop. Wow, freek me out on cost of parts and labor. Ouch, double ouch.

From what I understand... The Blower Shops version of your blower is FAR superior to the original design....

In all honesty I would trade yours in for their billet case with the upgraded bearings etc.... The standard B&M blower has some plastic parts in it from what I understand....

Blowershop's price on a new blower is peanuts compared to what Mercury charges for the B&M... Try $7K for the one on the 575SC.

Thanks all for the input.
I called Hampton blowers, they stated The Blower shop bought out all of B & M parts when holley took over. That is why they seems to have the world by the balls on B & M products.

I took apart my blowers and found no plastic parts what so ever, except the Teflon strips.
Seems to be made of quality.
I will try the other mention sites and see what comes of it.
Thanks all.
