Anyone Boating in N. Mich this weekend?
 

Just curious if anyone is gonna be out on the water up north. either lake michigan or lake charlevoix. weather ain't looking the best but what's the worst that could happen? get wet?

My wife and I either going to Lake Charleviox or to Indian River. If we hit Charlevoix it will be on Friday.

when will ya know for sure? i'm wantin to hit lake charlevoix but don't wanna run the boat allday. would rather find some ppl and tie up. let me know.

Might make it up to Torch Lake...

We were thinking of going out somewhere for a day. Ive checked the weather and Traverse in only going to be in the 60's and here Grand Haven will be in the low 70's. Looks like a good weekend to finish yard work.

Looks like it might be cool and rainy up by Cheboygan this weekend. I think we are sticking to riding ATV's at Black Mountain and trying to get out on the Harley some. I'll wait until it warms up for boating.

I will know by early tonight. Im almost positive we will be up for Charlevoix on Friday. Ill post as soon as I know tonight, no later than 9pm

We are heading up tommorow for sure. Where do you usually hang out? Oyster Bay???

i like the little cove just down from the ironton ferry (charlevoix side). it's gets REAL shallow though...so if u check it out watch ur depth. comes up super fast. otherwise young state park towards boyne city is a good spot. just depends on where the wind is coming from usually. if i get out tomorrow i'll make a run towards oyster and see if i spot ya. weather is supposed to break up just before noon tomorrow so we might get lucky!!! hope to see ya.

cool. i'll try and be out around 2ish. weather tonight showed rain holdin off till sat night. and clearing again by morning. besides temps in the 60's and 70's....this could be an all right weekend! FILL UP IN GAYLORD!!!!!! we're at 3.60 up here for 87. marina prices are well over 4 i'm sure. u guys are usally about 15-20 cents less then us. hope to see ya out there.

Im all filled up and ready to go. I m just packing up our stuff now. We will be launching out of Boyne City. My boat has a purple wind fairing with yellow and orange on the sides of it. Cya later today!!

BUCK- did ya get out there??? i didn't get on the water yesterday. got stuck with an emergency babysitting job! like WTF is more important then boating? o well. i just got back in from the lake today though. not a bad one at all!!! hope u got out and had a good time. i'll be out again either tomorrow or monday.

Well looks like I should have pulled the boat north. Its raining here in Northern Indiana. 2 days gone maybe Monday will be nice.

Today turned out to be OK. Took the fam out on the pontoon on the lake we live on. Maybe tommorow we will see the big pond.

Yeah, I heard that! At almost $4 per gallon, I can tell you this....I better be having a nice time! That means it's going to be warm and sunny with decent water conditions! Does that mean I am a fair weather boater? Well, at almost $4 bucks per gallon, yeah---I guess it kinda does! :D

I did make it out. It was cool but we still had a good time. Ive never seen such little boat traffic. We hit Indian River on Saturday.

Just got back in from a great afternoon/evening on the lake! BUCK- you're right....boating traffic was WAY down this weekend. Talked to a water cop friend of mine tonight and he said it's been the slowest weekend he can remember in 10 yrs at least! not a good sign.
