Default Bravo XR ok to use with Bravo 3 transom assembly?

Thinking of upgrading Bravo 3 setup on my cobalt to Bravo XR drive. Can I use the same transom assembly? What else is involved or is it just a simple drive/prop swap?

From a regular bravo 1 to an XR you need to replace the gimbal bearing.......that is probably true for a regular bravo 3 too.

yep, you need the gimbal bearing with the red dot. it's thinner to accomodate the larger u-joints of the xr.
