Tracy,
HUH???

I will admit that , Yes I have seen things floating in party cove (cig butts, beer cans, BOOBS and Yes people probably pee in there as im sure they do in Any body of water where libations are being consumed. Heck I think they stand around waist high in it all day at HAVASU.

As for the cove being small...it may only appear that way because of all the boats! Let's see....a mile and half long cove full of HOT boats, HOT sun, and the HOTTEST women!

Nort, I did go boating at LOTO on Thursday. I was just having too much fun enjoying the scenery to take any pictures. LOL!

Previously posted by MissHavasuCat on the thread about relocating to Havasu.

We have a house out there that we rent in the winter to the snowbirds - right now there is a couple from Ohio renting from us. It's pretty dead in the winter out there, but you'll still see a few boaters out there all bundled up.
Hmmm Bundled up!!!, Dead in the winter. The truth is starting to come out .........LOL

Well it looks like my post about relocating to Havasu has given the WACKO err I mean LOTO crowd a little ammunition! Blahhh!

Do you REALLY want to start in about Havasu vs LOTO boating seasons? I didn't think so!

As far as dead in the winter .... It's all relative my friends. Compared to the months March-October it's a little bit calmer, yes. Dec and Jan bring out the snowbirds... older people that like to escape the COLD WEATHER (read the midwest!)by going to where it's WARM! We respect our elderly and let them have Havasu for a couple of months!

One thing I have noticed about the midwest and eastern lakes is they are mostly MUDHOLES! I mean you can't even see the bottoms on most of them!

I can't wait to be in that crystal clear Colorado River water, sippin' on a cold beer while listening to the roar of big blocks echo off the beautiful canyon walls.

Besides... my post didn't say relocating to LOTO now did it!

I would say the average daytime temps at Havasu in the winter are about 65-70. The reason you have to bundle up is from the wind chill factor of blasting across the lake at 100 plus mph. I guess when you are used to 100 plus, 70 feels cold. What is the temp at the LOTO right now?

By the way, the snowbirds go to Havasu in the winter to keep there little white asses from being frozen off in the Mid-West weather!!! DUH!!

PS: I'm going to bed now.

Nort,
Why are you staying up til 2-3 am? Is it because you are trying to come up with more ways to try and coax people to go to Havasu?
Face the fire--we got this one licked.
Hope you got a good nights rest so you have more energy for recruitment today!!!

Later,
Dave

Hey LOTO-

Sometimes we have to stay up late around here. Sometimes, our days are long here on the left coast……they need to be in order to get all the things done that we have to. Okay, now you’re asking yourself, what the hell is he talking about? What do they have to do that takes so long? What could those kick-back California folks be doing that is so pressing?

Well, I guess that you might have forgotten by now……….how long it takes to:

A: Pack up the ice chest
B: Gather all the boat towels
C: Load the truck with the day items
D: Wait for friends to show up
E: Connect the trailer to the truck
F: Head out and fill the truck
G: Wait a half hour to fill the boat tank
H: Check the boat fluids
I: Head for the launch ramp
J: Launch the boat
K: Wash the trailer
L: Idle out of the harbor
M: Head to Catalina Island
N: Wait for a mooring, or set anchor
O: Wait for the water taxi
P: Head to the restaurant for lunch
Q: Stop by Luau Larry’s for a brewski
R: Head back and wait for the water taxi
S: Cruise back to the mainland
T: Wait to get the trailer backed on the launch ramp
U: Pull the boat out and wait for a spot at the washout area
V: Get many rolls of quarters for the wash
W: Run each engine for 15 minutes while washing boat
Y: Empty boat and fill truck with gear
Z: Head home, grab a beer, check the day’s photos and soak in the Jacuzzi

Then, log on OSO and explain why we’re up so late sometimes.

Troutly-

I didn't detail the last part of item Z, and the events after becuase I ran out of the alphabet. Besides, then it would be "Off Topic" now wouldn't it!

Too Old,

It wasn't me that said I was up late......
