Exactly. There are a very dedicated group of guys that worked very hard to get this boat done, and they have been dealt a little misfortune, but they are eager to get this boat dialed in. Look for Golddigger in New York this afternoon, alot of work went into getting her there.

As far as I know, it is at the NY Poker Run with different power.
I confirmed this with Mike F that it was at the OL Plant this week having work done and would be there this weekend. |

Just back from liberty landing. Rumors of goldigger coming to nyc for the poker run were confirmed by A couple of o/l s techs working on a 51 canopied boat at the docks. Though there was no sign of her , they said she would be there in the am! Guess Sharkey gets his wish and will meet this goldigger after all!:D

I wouldn't have posted that it would be there unless I heard it right from Mike F. , which I did. ;) I am leaving shortly. I hope all goes well for Bill and the crew today. Can't wait to get a tour of this boat. Last I saw her in person, she was upside down in primer at the factory. |
I applaud anyone willing to build machines like these that are going into the unknown. Sure, there have been boats go over 200 mph recently, but how much information is there about how these boat will react? There is an unimaginable amount of preparation and planning to build something like this. In any boat there is going to be a point when reaching 200+ mph where the boat will react in a way that the few people that will ever be onboard will not be comfortable with. You go back and fix it. If something, anything fails you are going to be along for the ride. If you have never been this fast, you may not understand. Please give these guys, and everyone willing to try this the time and respect they deserve.
On another note, I am anxious to see how the OL runs with the Merc. 1200's. |
It seems the boat will not be there. small gremlins that pop up. getting very close. I feel for Bill.
