Default Tropical Storm Barry - Florida Gulf Coast

Since I am north for the summer, I just heard this evening about approaching Tropical Storm Barry. Took a look at NOAA and it looks like coastal waters north of Bonita to well north of Cedar Key could see seas running 8 to 12 ft and up to 15 ft, 20 miles out. Wind and seas to pick up after midnight tonight. Hope all stays well for our Florida friends. We will be thinking of you.
Let us know how things turn out.
Bob

I know many parts of Florida need the rain, they are saying this storm should not get stronger, lets hope this year is not a bad one for hurricanes

God know we need the rain. I talked to friends in St Pete and in Lake Worth, they both were getting rain. At that time, we were just getting a very few drops. Had a little decent rain tonight.

Morning Bob,
It rained steadly all day yesterday. It was not a hard rain just steady. It is still blowing this morning but no rain. Key West Ferry is even closed for the day. It is a great day for Kite Boarding and Surfing. Thanks for thinking about us Bob,

It poured buckets for most of the night and until about 10:00 this morning. Man, what a great soaking. We've needed rain so bad.
Other than that no big deal. There's a slight storm surge, about 2 feet above normal, nothing to worry about though. It's receeding already.

It's nice out now.
