Aronow Powerboats cat

I was at my small local marine center today and there sat a little twin outboard cat that said Aronow Powerboats on the deck and a logo on the side. Anyone have any input on this thing. I'll admit to knowing nothing about them.

24 footer, somewhat heavy. A buddy tore the deck off one in a slight stuff years ago. Nice enouigh looking rig, just slow for size vs power compared to a skater 24.

Hey Airpacker,

That one that JR stuffed is on the side of Hwy11 just south of Harvey's. The guy (Raven Marine) has lots of once good junk. Uncle Guthrie is there too.

Sad, all rotting...... some should stay there

Airpacker 06-06-2007 07:03 AM

That place looks like a junk pile grave yard, not a "marine parts place".

RBT 06-06-2007 08:44 AM

:D you are correct on both accounts. I don't think he sells anymore, more than a few blew up......... junk parts make junk motors.
Though it is kinda neat, all the cool stuff from yesteryear that has been wrecked is in one place... LOL

If it had not been for Skater's, they might have been something cool.

Are You Serious???

Do a little homework...Don Aronow was one of the few geniuses in the business of boat building. Working for and contractually bailing out for millions, he developed hulls for Donzi, Magnum, Apache, Cigarette, Fountain, ect.. He was killed gangland-style by Ben Kramer now in federal prison on a kingpin sentence. This ideot even tried an escape by paying a friend to take helicopter lessons and to fly into the prison yard...FAIL!!!

It seems that there were (at least) two different 24' models with different decks and minor changes at the stern of the hull :readinghelp:
