I have ridden in a 35 Fountain on the lower Ches Bay washing machine water we typically run in. I was VERY impressed with the ride. I can't imagine the Baja ridding any better to be honest. And the Fountain will be much faster as mentioned. That boat should run right at 80 with dialed in props.

The Baja will have more room inside though. The cabin in the Fountain is a real back buster.

Both nice boats!

You'd be surprised at the fit & finish of the new Baja 35 Outlaw. Very clean & logically laid-out, with plenty of room. Just be sure to get a survey done and see if the prior owners have books & records for any work that's been done.

It will be slower than the Fountain by a few mph because it's heavier, longer, and doesn't have a stepped hull. I also believe it would be more stable in rough water because of those things, too.

FOUNTAIN, you won't be sorry, if you get the Baja you'll wish you had the FOUNTAIN.

The new 35 OL is a pretty good boat and I understand that it is pretty fast too but you will enjoy the handeling and finish of the Fountain.

Id say go drive both and pick the one you like better. fountain is definately going to be faster, and probably a little nicer on fit and finish. The baja is going to ride a little better and probably be a little roomier (definately a bigger boat).

Then you get to price. The baja is probably cheaper. Its all preference.

Thats funny! Both are great boats and the opinions stated above are for the most part correct.
