Aw crap. Dammit, dammit, dammit.
I missed him, Rik-- it took me a minute but I know how it happened. If you look at the last couple of pix in the composite shot in post 20 you can clearly see him on the far right in front of the two OL's. And, in the lunch shot in post 2 you can see his boat tied to the dock.
The OL's broke off and came under the center of the bridge and he continued on off to my right. In this shot you can see his wake continuing on straight and the OL's are just starting to turn. I was so focused on that lead pack bearing down on me that I totally missed him... they were moving pretty good and I didn't have a whole lot of time. Sorry.

Thanks anyways, I know Jim was there and he usually tries to run up near the front.

Great shots Jay!!
We had a great time. This was my first time at the Jax run and I will be back. The weather was great, and the food was great!!
This was my favorite shot of the trip. My wife took it and a few others just before the guy in the orange boat pointing the machine gun said to put the camera down.
We passed her while heading out the inlet Friday morning. I could not believe it.

What a great time! We got home around 5AM today and I think we need a vacation from our vacation. Like everybody else, we averaged around 4 hours of sleep each night, but man did we have a good time. Hats off to Bill and his crew as well as the FPC for pitching in to pull off a flawless event. Great weather, great people, great food, and a great location. Oh yea, and a Hooters!! What more could we ask for?
