This guy lives down from Rock Marina. My buddy Frank and his girlfriend know him. I recognized the boat pretty quick, he always keeps it next to the road going down to the marina. Sad, very sad.
And yes, this side of the lake is notorious for being akin to the mid-Atlantic. I Stay upriver unless I am in a big boat. If I am in the tooner, I keep north of Pt Venture.
Regardless, the story is tragic.

From: Lake Travis ,Texas
Rick is a good guy and this is a terrible tragedy..
My prayers go out to the family.
As for the wakes,Travis while 60 miles long is also
only .5 - 1.5miles wide in most places and all the wakes get amplified, the fact there are 40-60ft cruisers and yachts running around doesnt help..
Thr crossing between Devils Cove and Carlos and Charlies
is rougher than a lot of ocean inlets I have been thru.
