Sunbrella stain on vinyl - how to remove?
I towed the boat to Jax and back for the Poker Run.
My red Sunbrella cover left a pink stain on my brand new sunpad. It never got wet. The stain is from where the cover must have been flapping somewhat on the vinyl. How do I remove the stain? OSO Swipes wipes and Frenzy Orange cleaner didn't faze it. Thanks in advance! |
You could try tilex bathroom cleaner and a magic eraser pad. I usually dip the pad in clean water and then spray the wet pad with the tilex. Then go back over with just clean water and be sure to followup with 303 protectant.
If that doesn't work I don't know. |
sometimes the sun can take care of it, had similar prob with some fabric bleeding on a seat, put it in the sun and a day later it was gone.

Hey Bill R,
I got something worth a shot. Its a carpet spot cleaner designed to remove red juice, dye stains and betodine & iodines. It's part # I-70 on our web site www.CleanItSupply.com I know your a Swipes customer so give me a call and I'll get you just a quart. 800.998.3295 |
start out with something simple like palmolive dish detergent and a magic eraser, if that does not work try soft scurb w/ bleach, then mineral spirits. If all that does not work, the sun eventually will...

I use "Roll-Off" on a ton of stuff and it cuts through some pretty tough stains.

Lysol tub and tile with bleach spray it on and leave for about 20 mins. Lava soap or anytype of hand cleaner with pumice.

Diaper wipes. My wife uses them to get all the messes off the leather in her truck. Removes just about everything including ink.

I had a similar problem with a new red T Shirt that I draped over my bolster to dry. I had a pink stain and nothing would even phase it. I was on vacation for a week at the lake.
I sprayed it with Clorox Clean UP and wiped it lightly and let it soak in. I did it daily for about 3 days and it kept getting lighter. After about a week and a lot of sun exposure, the stain was 100% gone. I of course conditioned the heck out for a while as well. You can't tell it was ever there. |
