30' scarab panther
 
i have a 30 ' scarab panther i was a dual power boat but my buddy took it to a single power how hard do you thank it will run with a 598 cu in motor with a bravo the motor is supose to be about 700 hp i know i got to take it easy with the drive thanks jason

30 foot, heavy lay up, straight v, its gonna eat bravos.

I had one with twin 420's. It would go a little over 70. I bet a single 700 would do about the same with less weight and less drag. You'll need an XR with all of the good aftermarket parts to live behind that engine. $$$$

There was a Scarab Panther that was converted to a single here in NJ. I saw pictures but never saw it run.

I think they had to either widen the strakes or make them smaller....not sure...

The boat weighs around 8500 with big blocks and TRS.

the boat weighs 6500 pounds with two big blocks we did have it weigh
