Question 600+ HP thru an Alpha?

What's this thing's lifespan gona be?

http://www.rlcpe.com/images/projects...pledigits.html

Looks like a pretty interesting project. The guy shortened his own Alpha. Kind of like a homemade Alpha SS, but shorter.

ANyone know the owner or the boat?

Not long. Inside of two seasons I snapped a prop shaft and chewed up two sets of upper gears with a 420 hp supercharged 350 in front of an Alpha. I was running in fairly rough water - and that didn't help, but still, a Bravo is a much smarter move. The article was about going fast on a budget - which he will, just not for long.

That was a pretty good article. I'm with Corsa, don't think the drive will last. I have tried a BB in front of an alpha before with absolutely no luck. Eddie

Only chance it has is with a small block turning 7-8k rpms.....

They just don't have big enough gears inside and the clutch dog is only 2 inches wide...
