Another newbie question...

I'm about to buy my first boat. :evilb: If I'm going to be boating in a fresh water lake is it okay to buy a boat that was used in salt water?

All things considered...am I correct in assuming that corrosion and/or other problems for boats are found more from salt water than fresh?
