Boat turned out beautiful, JC what power did they keep in the boat. I know it had Sterling power for years, did they keep the big power? Hammer

On the other thread about this boat the owner said that it still has the 1,500 Sterlings.

The conversion looks awesome and it makes the boat more usable than keeping it in its original form. I have a strong interest and appreciation of the historical side of offshore racing, but given the choice I'd rather see a raceboat go through a pleasure conversion and be running on the water than being parted out and left collecting dust like a lot of old raceboats seem to be.

Thumbs up

Looks good, however who says a race boat is not a pleasure boat before converted. I would keep the canopy on for sure.
Thanks, Cam-shaft.

Look at the skegs and the fixed struts on the drives.

I just followed this boat for a mile or 2 Sunday afternoon coming into Metro park on St. Clair. It was impressive, and I thought it was the bacardi boat since he was heading toward where the bacardi boat is tored in a big garage!
