Default Lake Erie or Michigan for a boat trip?

Which lake is best for a 3-4 day vaca running a 28'.
City life not needed, just looking for nice Marinas and good water to run in...
Pros and cons of the lakes compared to each other.

Here's a vote for The Islands on Lake Erie .... Put in at Sandusky ...... hit Kelleys Island , Put in Bay , and Cedar Point , or ???? there is too much to do in the area ... and everything is close by ..... you'll be fine in the 28 .

There are many days that a 14' Sea Nymph will do the job and then there are some that would frighten passengers on the Queen Mary. Watch the skies, listen to the weather and have a plan. Beaching your boat if it gets rough isn't a good one- mostly rocks.

Erie Islands all the way. 28 is fine for 99.9% of the time, trust me.

Cedar Point in Sandusky if you like bad azz roller coasters and any and every kind of bar and reastraunt imaginable on the islands.

If you want some knowlege from the island and bay regulars check out www.islandpirates.net and post away
