My brother called me two years ago to take a ride on his new bass boat. We pushed off and floated for just a few minutes and started to check out the boat while on the water. He let me try it out first. Man did it feel heavy and slow. I tried to get it on plane but it would only plow down the river. When I gave up and she tried to level out I saw water coming out of the vent in the floor. Oh chit!! We ran it on the bank as quick as possible. Forgot the plug first time ever out on a brnad new boat. How stupid is that.

Oh man! about a month ago i drove up to my dads summer house to drop their boat in for the season.....thought i would give the boat a quick tune up etc....this has an OMC 5.0 engine in it and the ignition system has points (I HATE POINTS!) anyway it was having running problems last year and i figured it was about due for new points and condenser....so i swap everything out and set the point gaps and put the cap back on and try starting...nothing....back appart...reset the point gap...cap back on....nothing...did this maybe two more times....getting pissed bigtime!!.......look over and there sitting on the air clear staring me in the face is the rotor!!! man did i feel like a schmuck! its always the stupid little things that bite ya in the a$$ if i drank, that point right there would have had me drinking good!
