I too had my day's on bikes. Laid in the hospital for a year in traction. 3 years to recouperate. Over 20 surgeries. I now drive big vehicles and do the boat for the adrenalin rush. Funny how you just can't get it out of you. Just try to do it a little safer.

I did that stupid crap too, now I keep both wheels on the ground, don't ride at dawn or dusk " suns in other drivers eyes" look both ways twice and defensive driving.

We just had a guy killed on a bike. He was sitting stopped in traffic waiting for the car in front of him to turn left. 17 year old girl came up over the hill behind him and failed to stop. She hit the back of the bike, throwing him off and then proceeded to run him over. He died at the scene.
