Cost for 20,000 LB Boatlift?

I have a 11,000 LB Davit Master now and I am looking at putting in a 20,000 to lift a 42 Sonic I just bought. :D I know 20,000 is overkill, but I only want to upgrade once. I am getting some BIG numbers on the 20,000 from my local dealer.

What should I be paying for a 20,000 cradle lift?

Are you looking to install or hiring a contractor? I can get you a price on Alum. and Galv. Look at my website.I sale a gearbox and motor that will work in any application.I'll pm you a price tomorrow when I get back in the office.

Average price does seem to be about a buck a pound. Thats why I still don't have one.

Thanks.

Seems like a buck a pound installed is about the number.

Check out www.manningmarine.com they make a really nice lift. I am sure he will make one to lift your 42, I had one for my 41 Apache and it was great.

Just bought a 20K LB Lift a few months back, sold my 12,500 LB lift to a buddy of mine.... I went with the Magnum Boat Lift and had the optional platform on the rear so I can get to the drives.....
Mine was $9,300 Installed....

It's too bad that you are so far away. I have a 20,000# Hydro-hoist lift that I had my 386 Sonic on for sale. I also made a platform for the rear of it. I know it was overkill but it poped the boat out no problems at all and was very solid when walking on the floats.

Thanks for the input. The hydro hoist would not have worked as I leave the boat on the lift all year (I think the ice would kill it). Short season here..................the kids play hockey beside it in the winter!
