I feel bad for the owner of Hellfire. He was first told the engines were in the boat and the boat on the trailer. When he went down there the engines were still on their stands and the boat was still on its jacks. Then he was told it was started up on a hose and run. NOT. Boat has never left its stands inside of the shop. The owner of Hellfire told me that when your raceboats show up, all the work on the pleasure boats comes to a halt. John may be the best person for these engines but his time frames don't add up

Sorry to hear that...

Good help is hard to find, probly impossible in that type of neighborhood (extreme rigging/engines).

Don't want to hijack the thread, but does anyone know the top end of HellFire?

Magic,
Where do you work? I work at the end of the road from Dean's (TAOD) at Hadley. Small world! Drop me a line...

Wow, what are they doing to get those speeds? Putting in 6 T-53's?

Won't it wake more than just T-53's to reach those speeds?

so true

We are learning some very important lessons on the race course that will be applied directly to customers pleasure boats. These will make them safer and much faster. I work with Arruda and team on our race boats (Miss GEICO) daily and he does not LIE to anyone. It's not his nature.
If it is humanly possible they do their best to get it done and done right. Most Importantly he wont let a boat out of the shop that hasn't been tested and is safe. Quite a bit of the equipment is fabricated by TM which takes time.

If you are friends of either of the owners of either Hellfire or My Way and plan on riding in them at high speeds I would suggest you let Turbine Marine do their thing.

Once the boat is done and it's getting on plane about to make a 175+ mph run you don't want any second thoughts that it was rushed....

m

I agree 100%

Best of luck with the new boat.

I hope it will be ready too, but it isn't something you want to rush to fast.

I agree...but, I hate hearing about people getting lied to all the time in this industry. Seems like it is happening more and more recently. I hope the boat is done on time and correctly. BEAUTIFUL BOAT!!!
